Jacks or Better Draw Poker is a live dealer table game from Pragmatic Play’s dedicated live casino team. A classic player-versus-casino live dealer poker game with standard video poker rules. The stronger your winning hand, the better your payout, up to 800x for a Royal Flush in the main game.
Pragmatic includes a single side bet option in Jacks or Better Draw Poker: the Jackpot Bet. This optional extra bet is determined after the initial deal and offers three winning outcomes, with payouts up to 20,000x.
If you’d like to try playing Jacks or Better Draw Poker for yourself, log in to your account and tap the game tile to launch the game.
It opens in the Pragmatic Play live casino studio, where your dealer is seated at a green felted table with a standard 52-card deck, directly across from a single player position. You will have to wait for the next round to join if a game is currently in session.
If you’re new to our platform, you can register for an account and start playing in a few easy steps. Click ‘Sign Up’ in the top right corner of your screen and follow the prompts to get started. Be sure to visit our offers page to find out how to claim your welcome bonus and grab some freebies as a welcome on board gift.
When the betting time opens, select a casino chip from the options displayed and tap to place your ante bet on the PLAY betting spot. Then tap to cover the JACKPOT spot alongside the main betting position if you want to play the Jackpot Bet as well.
To win a game round of Jacks or Better Draw Poker, you must end up with a five-card poker hand higher in rank than a pair of Jacks to score a payout. This is classed as winning the round, as you walk away with a payout. When the allocated betting time ends, the dealer will deal out your first five cards from the shoe, and any side bets will be resolved.
You then have a choice to keep or discard any or all of the five cards in your hand and receive new cards to try and create a stronger poker hand. Tap to select any cards you want to keep; when the timer runs out, unselected cards are removed.
The dealer then deals out a further five cards. Any gaps in your hand are automatically filled by the new cards, your final hand is evaluated, and payouts are awarded as necessary.
As Jacks or Better Draw Poker is played directly against the house, there’s no pot to collect when you win the game round. Instead, you are awarded a payout based on the rank of your hand.
There are nine winning hands in total, ranging from breaking even with the lowest-ranking Jacks Pair to scoring an 800x the bet payout for the highest-ranking hand in poker, the Royal Flush.
Winning hands, their configurations, and the payouts awarded are listed below:
| Hand | Configuration | Payout |
|---|---|---|
| Royal Flush | A, K, Q, J, 10 all of the same suit | 800x |
| Straight Flush | Five consecutive cards of the same suit | 50x |
| Four of a Kind | Four cards of the same rank + one random card | 25x |
| Full House | Three of a kind and a pair | 9x |
| Flush | Any five cards of the same suit | 6x |
| Straight | Five sequential cards of any suit | 4x |
| Three of a Kind | Three cards of the same rank + two unrelated cards | 3x |
| Two Pairs | Two pairs + one random card | 2x |
| Jacks or Better | A pair of Jacks or higher + three unrelated cards | 1x |
Jacks or Better Draw Poker is a one-on-one poker game with one bonus feature: an optional side bet, the Jackpot Bet, which can award some impressive payouts for winning hands.
To play the Jackpot Bet, you must also be playing the main game round. Once you have placed your ante bet to join the game, you can place an additional bet of 10p or more on the Jackpot Bet.
To score a payout on the Jackpot Bet, you must make one of the following winning hands with the first five cards you receive. Following the initial deal, once the Jackpot Bet outcome has been determined, the rest of the round continues as normal.
There are only three winning hands in the side bet, with a max payout of 20,000x:
| Hand | Payout |
|---|---|
| Straight Flush | 20,000x |
| Four of a Kind | 1,000x |
| Straight | 100x |
