Outright Winner
The most popular betting choice for Euro 2028 odds is the outright winner market. Part of this is because it’s possible to bet on the outright winner long before the tournament begins. Of course, the caveat is that it’s impossible to take into consideration injuries and other factors that far in advance.
On the other hand, since there are close to a dozen teams with a legitimate chance of winning the tournament, it’s possible to find lucrative odds for almost every participating team. For example, given the current Euro betting odds, some of the leading favourites have odds of around 4/1. Of course, this is subject to change as the qualifying rounds and team selections are finalised.
Dark horse candidates could offer another potential payout if they were to win. In 2004, Greece had 150/1 odds before the tournament but won the European Championship.
Group Stage Bets
When the field of 24 teams is finalised and the draw to determine the Group Stage matchups is held, there will be Euro 2028 odds for which teams are likely to win each group and which teams will advance to the Knockout Stage as a second or third place team in each group.
Inevitably, the teams that are heavily favoured to win the tournament won’t have particularly lucrative betting odds to advance to the Knockout Stage. However, sometimes teams that are overlooked whilst heading into the tournament prove themselves to be capable by advancing further into the tournament than expected. These candidates could result in a potential profit
Player Awards
In addition to team accomplishments, there are betting markets for individual accomplishments at the European Championships. Betting on which player will be the top scorer of the tournament is among the most popular betting markets for the Euros. Awards are also given to the Player of the Tournament and the Young Player of the Tournament with betting markets for both awards, respectively.
Individual Games
Last but not least, once the matchups are known, there will be odds for specific Euro 2028 matches. There are 36 matches during the Group Stage and 15 matches during the Knockout Stage. For every match, traditional betting markets are available. This includes betting on what team will win or if a match will end in a draw.
It may also be possible to place bets on the number of goals scored in each game or the specific players who will score a goal. For every game, there's a large group of game and team prop bets that range from the exact score of the match to the number of corner kicks in the game.
