Sherlock and the Stolen Gems uses the cluster pays mechanic, where you must match at least seven symbols from any direction. Not only that, but these wins also become sticky cluster wins, where they stay on the grid while the rest of the symbols are replaced with new ones, thanks to the cascading reels feature.  

Payout symbols include lower-paying gems and higher-paying character symbols. See the paytable below for the minimum and maximum payouts based on a £1.00 wager. You’ll get different payouts on a scale from seven to 64 symbols. 

Sherlock and the Stolen Gems offers two features in the base game: sticky cluster wins and cascading reels. If you match seven symbols from any direction, they transform to a sticky cluster, and there can be more than one of these clusters in a single spin.  

When the symbols are frozen in place, the reels respin, and any new symbols that match will join the cluster and stick to the reels, and you’ll trigger another respin. This will continue until there are no new matching symbols on the reels.  

Expanding Sherlock 

Landing one or more Sherlock symbols will trigger this feature. You’ll be presented with an animation of the detective, who will destroy any symbols that don’t belong to a cluster and respin the reels, expanding them to 8x8. 

Expanding Moriarty 

We’re as surprised as you are that Moriarty is helping you on your journey, but we’re not complaining. If you land one or more Moriarty symbols, he will present symbols to form a cluster of 3x3.  

The cluster created by Moriarty may be affected depending on whether it’s in contact with a current cluster, in which case he’ll match the symbols. If he touches more than one cluster, he’ll choose the one that covers the biggest area.  

Moriarty might not be touching a cluster; if this is the case, he’ll use a symbol from the closest cluster. There may not be any clusters present, in which case the symbol shown by Moriarty will be one that forms the largest cluster from the symbols present on the reels.  

Free Spins Bonus 

You'll trigger the Free Spins Bonus if you land three or more Big Ben scatter symbols. You can keep track of how many of these symbols you collect as they appear under the Baker Street Sign. When you enter this feature, bonus symbols can fill the Big Ben progress bar, raising the multipliers by up to x5 and awarding additional spins.
