Retro Tapes is a charming cluster-pays grid slot game from Push Gaming that takes you on a nostalgic adventure to a simpler time, when cassette tapes were cutting-edge technology and 8-bit graphics were all the rage.  

Played on a 6x9 grid with high volatility, Retro Tapes is a multi-feature game with multiplier wilds, instant cash prizes, Cluster Links, and win potential maxing of 10,000x the bet.

To play the game, first click on the coin stack button to choose your bet per spin, then hit the grey spin button to play.  

You can score paytable wins by landing clusters of five or more matching pay symbols anywhere on the grid. Clusters must touch along the horizontal or vertical sides. 

Pay symbols are an assortment of different-coloured tapes that appear alongside golden tape wilds, star multipliers, magnets, and bronze, silver, and gold prize coins. Here’s the Retro Tapes paytable, based on a £1.00 wager:  

Cascades 

The bonus features in Retro Tapes begin with cascades that activate on any winning spin. After wins have been evaluated, all winning symbols are removed from the grid, and the remaining ones drop to the bottom as new symbols cascade from above. 

If more winning clusters are created, the cascade sequence repeats until no more wins land. 

Wild Tape Symbol 

The wild tape symbol substitutes for all other symbols on the grid except the magnet and wild multiplier symbols to help you create winning combos and score payouts. 

Every wild tape symbol has a multiplier, which starts at 1x and is applied to all wins it helps create. Each time the wild tape contributes to a win, it stays in place during the cascade, and its multiplier increases by 1. The wild symbol is removed at the end of all cascades. 

Wild Multiplier Symbols 

The wild multiplier symbol can appear in both the base game and the Top Charts feature, with multipliers of 1x, 2x, 3x, or 5x. When it hits, it distributes its value to all wild tape symbols in view and, after distribution, transforms into an instant prize symbol with a random value.  

Instant Prize Symbols 

Prize coin symbols appear with instant cash values ranging from 1x to 1000x the bet. When a cluster of five or more lands, it pays out the combined value.  

Magnet Feature 

The magnet symbol selects a random set of paying symbols of a single type and attracts all instances of that symbol across the entire grid to its position, creating a cluster win.  

When a cluster is created, the magnet symbol will transform into either the paying symbol or an instant-prize symbol with a random value.  

Magnet symbols can attract instant prize symbols if there are at least four of them in view to create a cluster.  

Cluster Links 

Cluster Links awards instant wins when a specified number of instant prizes cluster together on the reels. Chaining clusters together with enhancements can lead to bigger wins. 

Top Charts Feature 

When three or more wild tape symbols land anywhere on the grid at the same time, the Top Charts feature is activated. All wild tape symbols and prize symbols stick to the reels and carry over to your bonus.  

During the feature, each empty symbol position spins through to land on one of the following symbols:  

• Wild Tape Symbol 
• Wild Multiplier Symbol 
• Instant Prize Symbols 
• Magnet Symbol 
• Extra Spin Symbol 
• Blank Tape Symbol 

Each instant prize symbol that lands remains locked in position for the duration of the bonus and is awarded at the end.
