Roulette is one of the most popular classic casino table games, an ideal entry-level game, with easy-to-follow rules and fast-paced action.
Penny Roulette is an RNG-based video roulette version from Playtech that follows European roulette rules and offers low betting, starting at just one penny per bet. This low betting minimum further cements its position as the best game to play when starting out.

Penny Roulette is played in a simple gaming setting, designed to resemble the green felt of a roulette table. Your screen is split between the standard roulette betting table and a 3D European roulette wheel. The option to switch to a racetrack betting table is discussed in more detail below.
The wheel has 37 pockets numbered 0-36 and either black or white in colour, except for the zero pocket, which is green. Along the outer rim of the wheel is a small ball, which spins in the opposite direction to the wheel. Your objective is to guess where you think the ball will land when the two stop spinning, and place your bets accordingly.
To place a bet, first choose your bet size from the choice of virtual chips at the bottom of the table. Click on your desired chip, then the betting position/s you wish to cover. You can place more than one bet on a single game round, and of different values, provided the potential winnings don’t exceed the table limits.
The total value of all your bets is displayed beneath the betting table, where it says TOTAL BET. Once you are satisfied with your bets, hit the spin button to start your game.
There are two different types of bets in standard roulette: inside bets, which appear in the centre of the table, and outside bets, which are represented in the outer boxes. Inside bets are either straight-up bets on single numbers or small groups of numbers with higher payout potential.
The outside boxes have a series of outside bets covering larger groups of numbers, offering lower risk-reward. You can cover a mixture of inside and outside bets to spread your bets and increase your likelihood of hitting a winning spin.
In the paytable below, we have outlined the standard betting options in roulette, their configuration, and the potential payouts for each:
