Table Tennis Betting & Odds

An 8–4 lead can look comfortable until a couple of missed returns bring the opponent straight back into it. Table tennis moves quickly, but the betting still starts with understanding what your selection covers: points, games or the whole match. Explore table tennis odds through talkSPORT BET’s online sports betting platform and check the available fixtures before choosing a market.

The schedule includes smaller tournament series as well as international events. Prices and market choice vary, so a match in a regular domestic competition may offer different options from a major championship.

How Table Tennis Scoring Works

Under the standard rules, games are played to 11 points, with a two-point winning margin required. At 10–10, play carries on until someone gets two clear. There is no automatic finish at 11 if the opponent already has ten.

Players normally serve twice before the service changes. At deuce, that rhythm changes: each player gets just one serve before handing it back.

Check the fixture format next. In a best-of-five contest, someone reaching three game wins ends the match there and then. Best of seven gives a player more room to recover, with four game wins needed. That difference changes the possible correct scores and how far a total can run.

You may see games called sets in the betting list. Before picking a total, read the heading carefully: points within a game and games within a match are separate counts.

Table Tennis Competitions to Follow

Astana is next up for the individual World Championships, with the Kazakhstan event scheduled for 22 to 30 May 2027. London hosted the team championships in 2026, so those results belong to a different competition.

World Table Tennis events also feature throughout the season, alongside regional competitions and regular tournament series. Check the available listings rather than assuming that every event on the international calendar has betting markets.

Czech Liga Pro

Czech Liga Pro runs stand-alone tournaments, with its current regulations specifying best-of-five matches. Three game wins will therefore do the job.

Players can meet familiar opponents repeatedly. That gives you head-to-head results to examine, but check when those meetings happened and how closely the scores were contested.

Setka Cup

It is worth checking the time as well as the names in a Setka Cup listing. This regular tournament programme can bring the same player back to the table several times, and it is easy to open an earlier meeting by mistake.

Suppose someone has won twice already that day. Were those straightforward victories, or did both go the distance? And who were they playing? The bare win count leaves those questions unanswered.

TTSTAR Series

The standard TTSTAR Series tournament has eight players competing across two days. A round-robin stage gives way to semi-finals, a third-place match and a final, although the organiser can adjust an event’s format.

That produces plenty of results, but group-stage and knockout meetings can arrive at different points in a player’s workload. Check the stage as well as the names when opening a fixture.

Table Tennis Betting Markets

Match Winner

Pick the player who will win the match. A 3–0 victory and a recovery from two games down to win 3–2 settle the same way for a standard winner selection.

Retirements and unfinished matches need separate attention. Their settlement depends on the applicable rules, so do not assume that leading when play stops is enough to win the bet.

Game or Set Winner

This concerns one part of the match. A player can lose the opener, win the second game and still lose overall. Backing them for that second game is therefore a different prediction from backing them to win the match.

Look at whether the selection names a specific game or the next game to be played. That detail matters when placing a live bet between games.

Handicap Betting

Take a player giving away 1.5 games in a best-of-five fixture. A straight-games win covers that handicap, as does 3–1. Let the opponent take a second game, though, and even a 3–2 victory is insufficient.

A points handicap instead uses the point scores over the period specified. A close match in games can still contain a large points difference if one game was particularly one-sided.

Total Points and Total Games

Points totals follow the combined number of points scored. An 11–9 game contributes 20, while a 14–12 game contributes 26. Those extended games can make quite a difference to a match total.

Total games follows how long the match lasts in games. Over 3.5 in a best-of-five match needs four or five games. Three quick games finishing 11–9 would not be enough, however competitive each felt.

Correct Score and Outrights

Correct-score betting asks for the precise match score. Backing 3–1 needs that result; picking the winner correctly is only part of the job.

An outright follows the tournament champion instead. Consider the route through the draw, since two similarly rated players may face very different opponents before reaching a final. These markets are offered only where available.

Live Table Tennis Betting

Selected matches may appear in talkSPORT BET’s live betting section. The score can move faster than a video feed, and markets may pause during play, so check the selection and price before confirming.

One lost game is not necessarily a collapse in form. An 11–9 defeat gives a different picture from 11–2, and even those scores deserve a look at the rallies behind them. Avoid raising your stake simply to recover an earlier loss.

How to Bet on Table Tennis

You will find the available fixtures under Table Tennis after signing in. Choose the contest, tap a price and enter your stake in the bet slip. Give the selection another read before confirming, particularly if you have moved between a match market and an individual game. Registration and the required account checks come first for new customers.

Decide what you can afford to spend before browsing the schedule. There is no need to fill the gaps between matches with another bet.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the format. A best-of-five match needs three game wins, while best of seven needs four. Check the competition and market details before betting.

The game continues until one player leads by two points. Service changes after each point, so scores such as 12–10 or 15–13 are possible.

Live markets may be available on selected matches at talkSPORT BET. Check the in-play listings for the current fixtures and betting options.
