2025 Oscars Odds & Betting Markets

Welcome to our comprehensive guide on the 2025 Oscars Betting Odds. The Academy Awards, more popularly known as the Oscars, is an event that celebrates the pinnacle of cinematic achievements. Here, we will delve into various Oscars betting markets, explore favourites in key categories, and provide insights to enhance your Oscars betting experience.

What Are the Oscars Betting Markets?

Betting on the Oscars adds an extra layer of excitement to this glamorous event. Let's explore the key betting markets:

Best Actor

The Best Actor category honours the top male performance in a leading role. The most successful recipient of this award is Daniel Day-Lewis who has won it three times from six nominations. His first was for My Left Foot in 1989, followed by There Will Be Blood in 2007, and most recently for Lincoln in 2012.

Best Actress

This category recognises the finest female lead performance. Katharine Hepburn is the most successful female actress having racked up four wins, with her first awarded in 1932/33 for Morning Glory, and her last was awarded in 1981 for On Golden Pond.

Best Director

Here, the focus is on the individual who has shown outstanding directing skills. Betting on this category involves predicting which director will outshine their peers in crafting cinematic excellence. Last year both Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert won the award for their film, Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Best Picture

The most prestigious award, Best Picture, honours the overall excellence of a film. It encompasses all elements like acting, directing, writing, and production. And with so many films released every year, it can be one of the toughest categories to predict the outcome of.

Favourites for the Best Actor/Best Actress Award

There is no greater accolade for a movie star than the Academy Award for Best Actor or Actress, and this year is shaping up to be a tense competition with some top stars in the running.

For best actor, our three favourites include Adrien Brody for his powerful performance as Hungarian architect László Tóth in The Brutalist and Timothee Chalamet for A Complete Unknown—the second time in a row the young actor has been nominated for the award.

And finally, Ralph Fiennes has a chance to claim his second Best Actor award, this time for his role as Cardinal Thomas Lawrence in Conclave.

In the ladies’ competition, Mikey Madison, Demi Moore and Fernanda Torres are tipped as the top three for their roles in Anora, The Substance, and I’m Still Here, respectively. This is Moore’s second nomination for the distinguished award and a first for Madison and Torres.

Favourites to Win the Best Picture Award

As Best Actor/Actress is the pinnacle of success for an individual, Best Picture is for the movies themselves. Making the Best Picture award one of the most popular Oscars betting markets on our platform.

Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist, an epic drama about Jewish architect László Tóth (Adrien Brody) and his wife, is the favourite to win this illustrious award. The film follows the couple’s emigration to the US to escape post-war Europe and the hardships they endure.

The second favourite is the French production Emilia Perez, which won several awards at last year’s Cannes Film Festival. This Spanish-language movie is based on an opera adapted from a novel and tells the story of a hardened Mexican cartel leader who makes a drastic decision to transition into a woman.

Directed by Edward Berger, Conclave is also in with a shot. A political thriller based on the Robert Harris novel of the same name, it’s a story of secrets and rivalries as the College of Cardinals meets to elect a new pope. The star-studded cast includes Ralf Fiennes, who is up for the Best Actor award for his role, Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow.

Anora and Wicked are also in the running but at longer odds. Plus, there are also a bunch of 100/1 outliers, such as The Wild Robot, Robbie Williams’ Monkey Man, and Deadpool and Wolverine.
