Liverpool’s Egyptian forward Mo Salah had a brilliant Premier League season in 2024/25, ending the campaign with 29 goals to secure the Golden Boot. The Egyptian has won the accolade four times in his glittering career and is now the fourth top scorer in PL history.

City’s goal machine Haaland was disappointed with his output last term and started the new campaign like a man possessed. He’s the frontrunner to win the Golden Boot this term.

Following a long injury layoff and after his club sold Bryan Mbeumo and Yoan Wissa in the summer of 2025, Brentford’s Igor Thiago stepped up to the plate at the start of the 2025/26 campaign, scoring eight in his first 11 appearances.

Antoine Semenyo of Brentford, Jean Phillipe Mateta of Palace, and Danny Welbeck of Brighton all made promising goal-scoring starts to the season, but they’ll all need to be at their brilliant best if they’re to catch Haaland, who has rediscovered his best form.
