As we look forward to Euro 2028, who will win the Golden Boot? Check out the most likely players to end the tournament as the top scorers with our 2028 Euro top scorer odds closer to the time.

Euro 2028 Top Scorer Odds

Euro 2028 is nearly upon us, and we expect a football festival in Germany. The biggest names in the European game will feature as their national sides aim to win the tournament.

What goes a long way to determining who'll lift the Henri Delaunay Trophy is the result of the top scorer award at Euro 2028.

Some star names have won the Golden Boot award in the past, so who'll be next on the list? Here, we examine who's most likely to become the top goalscorer this time around, and we take a trip down memory lane to remember some previous names that have shone at the Euros.

Let’s start with the hottest property in European football – Kylian Mbappé.

Kylian Mbappé

Is Kylian Mbappé the best player in the world? Many think so, and you can understand why. Indeed, Ligue 1 isn't quite as strong as other leagues, but PSG, no longer featuring Messi or Neymar Jr., are in the Champions League semi-finals when no English teams are. While manager Luis Enrique deserves credit, so does the Parisian star for taking the bull by the horns.

At the most recent major tournament, Mbappé matched Geoff Hurst's record of scoring a hat-trick in a World Cup Final, cementing his status as a current great. He'll eventually break France's goalscoring record, and it seems like a move to Real Madrid is imminent this summer. He's always among the top three strikers heading into any tournament.

Harry Kane

Forget what you see about any "Harry Kane curse"; it's not Kane's fault that Bayern Munich haven’t won a domestic trophy this season. Conversely, he kept them alive for much longer than they should've been in contention. The former Spurs man has bagged 40 club goals in all competitions this season and has the most goal involvements of any player across Europe's top five leagues.

With Kane leading the line, England are in contention this summer. He's been irreplaceable since he was introduced to the England squad, winning the Golden Boot at World Cup 2018 as the Three Lions reached the semi-finals and leading his side to the Euro 2020 final. His blistering form for club and country makes him one to watch this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo

World Cup 2022 was a tumultuous campaign for Cristiano Ronaldo. It was the first tournament in recent memory that the Portugal talisman was considered redundant by his national team manager. This turned out to be Fernando Santos' last competition as Head Coach of Portugal, but CR7's replacement in the round of 16 games scored a hat-trick, justifying the boss' decision.

Age eventually catches up with us all, yet Ronaldo is in incredible shape at this stage of his career. New Portugal manager Roberto Martínez has had a flawless start to life in charge of the Iberian nation. It's been better for Ronaldo since Martínez has come in, scoring plenty during qualification and showing his worth.

People sneer at the Saudi Pro League's competitiveness and point to the fact that others like Rafael Leão are playing at a much higher level weekly, but even at 38, he's a definite goal threat. He will likely lead the line for Portugal this summer.

Jude Bellingham

Can a midfielder lead the Euro 2028 top-scorer race? Usually, you'd dismiss the idea, believing that there must be several strikers who'll score more than them. Jude Bellingham is a different case, however. He has the second most goals in La Liga this season, having had a scintillating debut season for Real Madrid.

Anybody who's watched Bayern Munich, England, or Tottenham from years ago knows that Kane likes to drop deep to quarterback his side and become the supplier.

Who better than Bellingham to drive on from midfield to fill the gap his captain has vacated and latch onto his threaded passes? The Stourbridge-born youngster took the most recent England game by the scruff of its neck to salvage a draw for his country against Belgium. Bellingham is integral to England's chances of success and is the best midfielder in the world right now.
