Odds on Djokovic to Win Wimbledon 2024

Posted on May 23, 2024May 23, 2024 By Rachel Stuart

Get the strawberries and cream ready because Wimbledon isn’t far away. It’s a tennis tournament like no other, holding the prestige and glory that other events aspire to.

Novak Djokovic is one of the greatest players to have ever graced the sport, and he’ll be in the mix for the title again this July. What odds can you expect when betting on the Serbian star? We have you covered as we present our odds on Djokovic to win Wimbledon 2024.

Odds on Djokovic to Win Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic, the serial champion and last year’s runner-up at Wimbledon, faces some tough competition to win back his trophy this time around.

The world number 1, who’s been sitting at the top of the tree as the best in the men’s game for an astonishing 37 months, is set to head back on the grass court to show the world that he’s not on a downward trend just yet.

We’re yet to find out who’s facing who, but we know that Djokovic is the number 2 seed for Wimbledon this summer, placing him in a healthy position to make a final appearance if his game is up to its typical best.

Latest Wimbledon Odds

The odds right now for the outright men’s Wimbledon winner couldn’t be closer between the front-runners. We’re in for quite a tournament, with each of the following players in line with a chance of winning in London this summer:

  • Carlos Alcaraz – 7/4*
  • Novak Djokovic – 7/4*
  • Jannik Sinner – 10/3*
  • Daniil Medvedev – 14/1*
  • Alexander Zverev – 25/1*
  • Rafael Nadal – 25/1*
  • Matteo Berrettini – 28/1*
  • Grigor Dimitrov – 28/1*
  • Holger Rune – 30/1*
  • Nick Kyrgios – 33/1*

The top two favourites, Alcaraz and Djokovic, are neck and neck in the odds to win Wimbledon this year. Jannik Sinner isn’t far behind them in the odds, but you can see the prices go up considerably once we’re past those 3. It should be a remarkable contest between these primary challengers.

How is Djokovic’s Current Form?

2024 has not been kind to Djokovic so far. He hasn’t experienced a spell like this for many years. He’s yet to win a title in the calendar year, which is remarkable for the Serbian when we consider a third of the year has now gone.

It would be foolish to write off the great man, of course, but questions are being asked whether this is the end of his dominance or if this is just a bad patch. Only time will tell, but he’ll be desperate to get at least a couple of ATP titles under his belt before Wimbledon starts.

Aside from two withdrawals, he’s yet to reach a final this year, only making the semi-finals at the Australian Open and the Monte Carlo Masters.

Form is as important in tennis as it is in any sport, so Djokovic knows he’ll need to pick up his game, but he’s more capable than anyone of turning it on when it’s needed.

What is Novak Djokovic’s Wimbledon Record?

Nobody has won more men’s majors than the Serbian, and his career will forever be enshrined for all to see. The Australian Open is a particular favourite of Djokovic, winning 10 of his 24 major titles Down Under.

Though Wimbledon isn’t a hard-court surface like the Australian Open, Djokovic has been supreme at Wimbledon as well, coming out victorious on 7 occasions at The Championships – he’s only 1 Wimbledon title the legendary Roger Federer and will be hoping to surpass the Swiss star’s record before he calls time on his career.

Djokovic won his first Wimbledon title in 2011 and has been relentless since then. In fact, he’s only failed to make the semi-finals twice since 2010. If he wins Wimbledon in the summer of 2024, he will become the joint most successful men’s player in London of all time, so there’s a lot riding on this year’s event for the Serb.

Who is Djokovic’s Biggest Contender at Wimbledon 2024?

It’s no surprise that Carlos Alcaraz will be the main challenger to Djokovic this time around, as the Spaniard won Wimbledon in 2023.

Alcaraz was scintillating in last year’s final as he overcame Djokovic in an all-time classic, winning in 5 sets (1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4).

It was a remarkable feat for the 2003-born (the year Djokovic turned professional) prodigy who claimed his first Wimbledon title and his second major, reaffirming the early calls for him to be the one Djokovic passes the mantle onto when he eventually retires.

Many in the game consider Jannik Sinner to be the most in-form player in the men’s game today, so he will undoubtedly be in the running. The Italian has already won the only other major of the tennis calendar so far this season, at the Australian Open in January, so he’ll be more motivated and confident than ever.
