Off to Lingfield for five rides today, on the all weather and we’re starting off in the 230 Falmouth Boy for Tony Carr. He has been very consistent on the all weather, it has been running the odd good race, but has bled the last twice, which is making it difficult for him. I don’t know what the issue is, but he’s on a fact finding mission. If he comes back to his best form that he has shown in the past on the all weather, then he’s more than capable of gaining a win, but we’d have to be waiting to see.
Mauchline for James Tate, first time out maiden. His homework’s been all right. He’s a half brother to winners.
It doesn’t look the strongest of races, wouldn’t have to be a world beater to win. Whatever he does, he’s going to improve off, but he’s a four year old having his first run. So we will wait and see.
Spiritualism for Amy Murphy. Blinkers going on first time. She has three runs, her best run was on the all weather. The last start was a little bit below par, but hopefully coming back on our favourite surface, she can show something in what looks not a strong maiden, a couple in there with a bit of form, but hopefully she can come back to her previous run on the all weather. It will give her a chance.
Then we got Con Te Partiro, a horse that I’m very familiar with. Very consistent on the all weather, multiple winner over course and distance last time. I was just pipped on the post, over a mile though. I think this is a big plus him going back to a mile and a quarter. I think it seems to suit him better and hopefully he can get back on the winning thread.
Lady Dreamer for Tom Ward. Good winner last time over course and distance. I’m hoping that she can keep that vein of form going. Is up the weights, so she’s got to carry a lot of weight, but that proves that she’s the best horse in the race. So hopefully she can continue her rich vein of form of winning and hopefully a good day.
