I am going to Lingfield this evening for a book of five rides.
In the first, I’m riding Thursday for Simon Dow. Two runs ago I was second on her around here on the turf, a little bit unknown on the all weather. She’s coming back on the all weather, but if she can transfer the form she’s been showing on the grass to the all weather from a good draw, hopefully she can get back on track.
Second of my rides is Con Te Partiro, very consistent and a frequent winner on the all weather racked up a tree timer earlier in the season, two good runs since stepping up to a mile and a quarter. It’s had a little bit of a break to freshen up. Hopefully back on its favourite all weather so can have a good chance freshened up.
Harvard’s Sound in the next for Tom Clover. Very good win on him last start. He won with so much ease, seven and a half length winner. Coming back to the same course and distance of his last win, small field. He looks like that he’s going to be the one to beat. Definitely looks like a horse on the up. So hopefully he can be able to deal with these lot and get another win on the board.
In the next, we’ve got Suicide Blonde, Richard Spencer, been a bit frustrating, this Philly very consistent on the turf and the all water without winning, but after having a 281 day break, She should be that bit stronger and the break would have done her good. Hopefully we can get her possibly an each way chance in a small field. But if she comes back to her best, she’d have a chance.
Then in the last, Love Warrior for Charlie Johnson, very consistent on the grass, seven and a half furlongs on a sharp track, like Linfield on fast ground is probably what he wants. Love Warrior is still a maiden, but he’s been knocking on the door. Hopefully this will be his turn to hit the board in what looks a very ordinary race.
We’ve got a good book of five rides. Hopefully we’ve got plenty there to go and hit the board a little bit from the second night he’s had yesterday.
