I’m heading to Wolverhampton for the second round of the Racing League.
What a great start on the first day! I didn’t ride there, but my team East did really well with three winners. It puts us in the firing line up on the leader’s table. I’m coming to hopefully add to the team’s success.
We start off with Glam Squad for Team East, Charlie Fellows, a very good winner of a handicap last out over seven at Yarmouth. This Phoenix Of Spain horse coming on the all weather first time, a little bit of cushion in the ground will do him very well and proved that last win was no fluke. So Glam Squad, I think goes in there with a very competitive chance.
The second is Red Hot Eagle who I’m very familiar with for William Knight and team East. I’ve been a winner on him before. He’s been running very well between running on the turf and on the all weather. This style of racing suits his races, sit in, hold up, come late and fast. Hopefully Red Hot Eagle can keep hot.
The third is Mighty Nebula for Roger Varian. Team East in the extended mile in one race, nine furlongs. He’s been a revelation since switching to the all weather. On pedigree, it should suit and it did suit and he is a good winner and very consistent in his last three starts. This looks a tailor-made race for him. I think Mighty Nebula got a very strong chance in this ordinary looking race and he’s on an upward curve and I’m hoping that he can add to Team East’s wins and put us on top of the table.
Looking forward to three pretty good rides for my first go in the Racing League representing Team East.
