I’m here in Bahrain for The Series Festival.
On day one, in the evening, we have five rides for Al Mohamediya Racing. I suppose the pick of those five would be Jehangeer in the Hawar Cup – the first leg of the series races. He’s been running quite well since he’s come out here. He’s probably run over in an inadequate thousand meters for a stop, then run a much better race over 1200. I suspect the horse to kind of improve a little bit more, having had a couple of runs under his belt in a new environment.
These are highly competitive sprint races. but Jahangir over 1400 is going to be his best. Hopefully he can be thereabouts and hit the line and show another big running.
The second leg we’ve got, which is probably my better ride, Soldier’s Empire for Marco Botti. He’s been running really well his first two runs. He probably needed those two runs. He got a little bit lit up, so he’s going to wear a hood. From a good draw, very competitive race. But I think this distance of 1800 meters should be perfect for him. Just slot in a nice run of the race and hopefully he can carry on his good form and get his head in front this time. Soldier’s Empire is the pick of the both.
