Leicester City v Arsenal Preview, Betting Options & Markets at talkSPORT BET

Posted on February 13, 2025February 13, 2025 By Armin Kianmehr
  • Date: Saturday 15th February 2025
  • Time: 12.30 GMT
  • Location: King Power Stadium, Leicester
  • Odds: Leicester City 19/2* – Draw 11/4* – Arsenal 6/5*

Ruud van Nistelrooy hasn’t had the start he might have hoped for in the Leicester City dugout, and his team is in real danger of being relegated to the Championship.

The Foxes have lost four of their past five games, with a surprise win at Spurs the only positive result they’ve managed in recent weeks.

Arsenal, in contrast, are on a good run and are unbeaten in their last five PL games. The Gunners are in second place and look the most likely team to challenge Liverpool for the title this season.

So, what can we expect when the two meet this weekend at the King Power Stadium? Read our Leicester City v Arsenal preview and consider your betting options at talkSPORT BET Sportsbook.

Leicester City v Arsenal Betting Tips

  • These two teams are in contrasting form, and if we look at recent results, we can’t see anything other than an Arsenal win. Leicester scored only three goals in their past five matches, while Arsenal bagged eleven. Moreover, Arsenal have 11 points from 15, while Leicester have three. So, back Arsenal to win and consider backing them to win by 1.5 goals to increase your potential payout.
  • Interestingly, Arsenal have won the last two games at the KP Stadium to nil. On their last two visits, they won 1-0 in February 2023 and 2-0 in October 2021. Given Leicester’s recent issues in front of goal, Arsenal to win to nil could be a good bet again this time around.
  • Arsenal have scored an average of 2.04 goals per match this season, while Leicester have conceded an average of 2.21 goals. Therefore, consider backing Arsenal to win and over two goals being scored in this match as a decent wager.

This Fixture in History

Arsenal have an excellent record against Leicester City in the Premier League. In 35 meetings, Arsenal have only lost to Leicester City five times. The Gunners have won 22 times against Leicester, and the teams have drawn seven times.

In their last five Premier League meetings, Arsenal won all five games, scoring 13 goals compared to Leicester City’s four. We have to go back to October 2020 for Arsenal’s last defeat against the Foxes, when Leicester won 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

In all competitions since their first meeting in January 1895, Arsenal have won 73 games against Leicester, losing 33. As such, Arsenal’s historical dominance over the Foxes is clear to see, and it further supports the narrative that the Gunners are clear favourites ahead of this Premier League clash.

Leicester City Man to Watch: Jamie Vardy

At 38 years old, Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy is still the Foxes’ main man up front. He has 181 league goals in 427 league matches for Leicester and seven PL goals to his name so far this season.

While Leicester have struggled to find the net in many games this season, Vardy is a constant threat and presents the Foxes’ main goal threat whether he starts the game or comes off the bench against Arsenal.

Arsenal Man to Watch: Declan Rice

With so many injuries to their front line, Arsenal may need to rely on their midfield to secure three precious points at the KP Stadium. Though Declan Rice isn’t a free-scoring midfielder, the Englishman is a brilliant set-piece taker, and his corners and free kicks will cause all sorts of problems for the Foxes’ shaky backline.

Since arriving in North London at the start of the 2023/24 campaign, Rice has been a crucial component of Arsenal’s midfield, and he will be key to his team again this weekend.
