Going to Yarmouth for five rides, and the pick of them would be to start off with Oman for Tony Carroll. It has been running over a lot further in distance, a winner earlier on in the season over a mile and six. Coming back quite drastically in distance, but always been quite keen in his races, so it might just suit in what isn’t a less competitive race. There’s a couple lurking, but if he can handle coming back in the distance, he’s definitely got a chance.
Come On You Spurs in a seven four long handicap. I was a winner on her two starts back at Sandown. Went to Musselburgh last start and it ran okay, a little bit disappointing, but I think probably the track didn’t play to her strengths. It’s quite sharp coming back to a more conventional track, I think will suit her better.
Angle Land has been very consistent this season. I won on him earlier this season. Very tricky customer at the gates, got to jump clean, conserve energy and have a bit of a fight for the end. Sometimes misses the start, but this looks probably a little bit of a competitive handicap, so he just might find one or two too strong, but he goes in there off a big price
We finish off on Collusion for James Tate, has had three runs so into a handicap now off a rating of 60 and I think that 60 is a very good starting point for this horse. So in what looks a very ordinary looking race, hopefully Collusion can make his mark of 60 tell at the start and hopefully go up for us from there.
