Yarmouth today, three rides, starting off at Winnebago for Tom Clover. He ran two very solid races at Newmarket and Yarmouth, and this is quite a nice horse.
It looks like he’s been beaten by a nice horse last start, but he’s definitely on the improve. Hopefully this is the day he’ll get his head in front and show his class.
Then we got Mystified for Johnny Butler. Very good run last start, lightly raced. Most runs on the all weather, but his first time out run on the grass was a good run, so that should hold no fears. He’s definitely got a chance in this sort of grade.
We finish off with Dubawi Heights. Now, I rode him two starts back at Epsom. I thought the ground was probably a little bit too heavy for him over a mile and a half, and it probably just found him out back to a mile and a quarter on soft ground, but not as heavy as it was when he ran at Epsom.
He’s subsequently had a good run since then on the all weather. But this horse has been very consistent without winning. So hopefully back to a mile and a quarter with the ground not as heavy will be the key and get his head in front for new connections of William Knight.
Three rides, but three good chances. Hopefully we keep the hot form going.
