We’re off to Leicester for four rides and starting off with a decent one in the Maiden Be An Angel for Rod Millman. This filly had a good run first time out over the course and distance. The heavy ground from last time will be the same, so hopefully that won’t be an issue and second time out, she could get her head in front. She looks to be a strong chance.
Then we got Paulie Two Lockers for Richard Fahey in the handicap. He has been a little bit hit and miss, running well enough to show something, but not quite there yet, but it doesn’t look a very strong race, so he could possibly click now after having a run and being gelded, that’s Paulie Two Lockers.
Then we’ve got a ride for George Baker, Marsh Benham. I’m unlucky to have missed him last time through illness, but we’re back on him. He’s very capable in this sort of ground. He likes these sort of tracks. He is up in class into class four which is an upgrade from his last two wins in class five and six, he’s got to step up again, but it looks a winnable level race and he’s in great form.
Finishing off with Batal Zabeel for James Tate. The first run for James Tate since leaving Kevin Ryan, and one that the trainer does really well with was new recruits from other yards. He’s proven it all year.
So it’s a very tight knit, small field of four runners, it’s competitive. If he turns back to his winning form for his new stable off 80, he was a winner of 79, he’s definitely capable.
Four good rides. Hopefully we can hit the board four times.
