I’m going to Lingfield today for four rides and feel like I definitely have a couple of chances for good results. Starting off with Pacifist for Charlie Johnson – he wasn’t a bad run at Kempton, finishing 6th for me a few weeks ago. It felt like to me he was badly in need of the race. I’m definitely hoping he can improve on what looked a better race at Kempton, he’s a nice type and will probably get further in time. So in what doesn’t look a strong race, Pacifist would hold a chance.
Bo Vintage in the mile and five race. I was a good second on him earlier in the season at Kempton over a mile and a half, finished off very strong. Two lacklustre runs since then, but from a wide draw back on him, hopefully the pace is honest and it swings on staying power because I think that’s his forte. He stays very well, but in an ordinary race, he definitely got every chance.
The pick of the rest of them would be Con Te Partiro, one of Richard Spencer’s. Two wins course and distance for me this season. This horse knows where the winning post is, he’s in great form, solid over course and distance. It’s a step up in grade. It’s a better race for better prize money, but he is a specialist around this track over this course and distance. So, hopefully he can carry on the winning form.
